Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you may not do with Zumino, and what may not appear on sites created or published through the Service. It forms part of the Terms of Use. Capitalised terms have the meanings given there.

Content submitted for publishing may be automatically reviewed against this policy before deployment, and may be reviewed or re-reviewed at any time (see Terms of Use § 4). Automated review is a safety measure, not a guarantee, and a deployment does not mean the content was reviewed or approved.

Prohibited content

You may not create, publish, or distribute through the Service:

Illegal and harmful content

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors — this is reported to the relevant authorities where required by law.
  • Content that promotes or facilitates the sale of illegal drugs, illegal weapons, or stolen data or credentials.
  • Incitement to violence or terrorism, or credible threats against any person or group.
  • Hate speech or harassment targeting people on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
  • Doxxing: publishing another person's private personal information with intent to harm, harass, or intimidate.
  • Any content that is otherwise unlawful under South African law or the law applicable to you.

Fraud, deception, and malicious activity

  • Phishing or credential harvesting, including fake login pages or pages impersonating banks, email providers, payment providers, or other brands.
  • Scams and fraud, including fake giveaways, advance-fee fraud, fake support pages, and deceptive impersonation of a real organisation or person.
  • Malware distribution, drive-by downloads, or browser exploit kits.
  • Cryptojacking or hidden resource mining.
  • Deliberately deceptive or misleading commercial claims.

Malicious or abusive code

  • Loading and executing arbitrary remote code from untrusted origins, including via remote scripts, dynamic imports, or fetched payloads combined with code-execution primitives.
  • Obfuscated or encoded payloads whose purpose is to conceal what the code does.
  • Attempts to manipulate, evade, or subvert Zumino's automated review systems (for example, embedding instructions intended to influence AI-based moderation). Such attempts are themselves a violation of this AUP.

Ordinary self-contained JavaScript (animations, form validation) and assets from well-known content-delivery networks are fine.

Prohibited use of the platform

You may not:

  • Use the Service to attack, probe, or disrupt Zumino, its infrastructure, or any third party (including denial-of-service, unauthorised access attempts, or abuse of the editing sandbox).
  • Attempt to escape or interfere with the sandboxed editing environment, or access other users' projects, sessions, or data.
  • Abuse the AI features, including attempts to extract system prompts, circumvent safety measures, or generate content prohibited above.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own service without our written agreement.
  • Use automated means to create accounts or consume resources in a way that circumvents plan limits or fair use.
  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk communications from or via published sites.

Enforcement

Suspected violations are handled as described in the Terms of Use § 4: we may decline to publish, delay, suspend, unpublish, or remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, at our discretion and without prior notice or explanation. Where the law requires it, we may also report content or conduct to law-enforcement or other authorities.

Reporting abuse

To report content published through Zumino that you believe violates this policy, contact us using the details in Contact Details and include the site URL and a description of the issue.
